Dr. Akhil Garg completed his MBBS and MS (Gen Surgery) from the stellar Delhi University. Thereafter, he was amongst the handful of candidates chosen to complete M.Ch Plastic Surgery from the prestigious PGIMER, Chandigarh.

 

After consistently being one of the most promising passouts from the program, he was chosen in 2021 for the ISAPS International Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Fellowship, organized by the Dutch Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. This prestigious fellowship, awarded to only a few promising Plastic surgeons across the globe, led him to London, UK.

In London, he was mentored by the renowned Prof Neil Bulstrode, Plastic Surgeon to the Royal Family of England. Bolstered by his excellent credentials and stellar work, he was invited as a Visiting Fellow at the world-famous Mallucci London. Here he trained under Dr. Patrick Mallucci, Celebrity plastic surgeon for Hollywood actresses and the pioneer of Breast Implantation surgeries.

His journey in UK further continued at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford in 2022 for Breast and Microsurgery Fellowship, the only center in UK to continue offering Breast Reconstruction even during COVID times. Here he furthered his skill set to understand the latest global trends in Breast Re-contouring, which are still not widely available in India.

 

Thereafter, his work led him to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, where he underwent the rigorous CAD-CAM training to hone his surgical skills and further perfect his art.

After a brief stint back in Delhi, India, his quest for excellence led him in 2023 to Tokyo, Japan on an invitation from the reputed JFCR Hospital, where latest trends in Reconstruction and Supermicrosurgery were not merely being followed, they were being set. His training in Lymphatic Reconstruction makes him amongst handful of people in India performing this rare, challenging procedure.

 

Despite receiving multiple offers from hospitals abroad, he chose to return to India to bring the best of the global plastic surgery trends and techniques to the City Beautiful.
